Some preliminary tests based upon WordPress 2.5 RC1 have shown that the following plugins were not fully functional or totally broken with the upcoming WordPress release :

• Releases of mAutoPopup up to 0.4.1 just don’t work, the plugin can be configured but no operation is done
  This will be fixed with the next version.
  Note : the SVN trunk sources don’t fix the problem yet.
• mContact pre-0.1 works fine but the TinyMCE plugin buttons are not present anymore
  This will be fixed when the release is out.
  Meanwhile, you can get around this issue by adding yourself the mContact quicktag <!–mcontact–> directly inside the HTML editor.

Those plugins should be fixed by the release of WordPress 2.5.

With this new year’s beginning, it appears to us it was the right time to review our priorities.

Some of you were waiting for a pre-alpha version of Rex, initially planned for the end of 2007.
In fact, we’re really late. We are currently concentrating almost all our efforts on more foreseeing projects such as VisualStory and we have not enough time to handle both projects simultaneously. Rex is not cancelled but delayed until a better future, its release date becoming ‘when it’s done’.

mPHPInfo for WordPress is a plugin that allows you to display PHP configuration of your server even if the phpinfo() function is not available. Very useful when your host discards the phpinfo() for security reasons.

mPHPInfo has been designed for users who want to have a quick look of thier hosting environment two clicks away. It displays the default phpinfo() output if available, or a list of the main configuration variables from PHP. Very useful also for debugging purposes or for beginners.

mAutoPopup 0.4 suffered from a design issue which constraigned users to install specific files for the Rich Text Editor plugin directly into the TinyMCE plugins directory.
Version 0.4.1 fixes this by providing a self-registering TinyMCE plugin which lays now in the mAutoPopup directory.

Another improvement is provided in this release.
An update message box has been inserted in the mAutoPopup options panel to warn you when new releases are up.
