Installation
- Unzip this package in an empty directory.
- Using you favorite FTP client, upload those files to their directory on your server.
It should be : /your-wordpress-root/wp-content/plugins/mcatfilter/
Note that the plugin directory name MUST be mcatfilter ! - Go to your Administration panel, in the Plugins section, and activate mCatFilter.
- Go to your Manage > mCatFilter page and click Setup mCatFilter to configure the plugin using the default options.
- You’re done !
Upgrading from any previous version
- Go to your Administration panel, in the Plugins section, and deactivate mCatFilter.
- Replace all mCatFilter files by those of your installation package.
- Go to your Administration panel, in the Plugins section, and activate mCatFilter.
- Go to the Manage section, in the mCatFilter sub-menu, and click Upgrade mCatFilter.
- You’re done !
Localization
Language packs can be downloaded from our website. Simply upload the downloaded .MO file to the plugin directory using your favorite FTP client.
Translations will be applied if WordPress is correctly configured with the selected language.
System Recommendations
- WordPress 2.1 or later version
- PHP version 4.3.0 or higher
Usage
By default, mCatFilter does not exclude any category. To select excluded categories, proceed as follow :
- Go to your Administration panel
- Go to your Manage > mCatFilter page
- Check any category you want to exclude from the list
- Click “Select for Exclusion” button
- You’re done ! Selected categories should be excluded from default queries
